When we set out to redesign FindTribe, we wanted to create an interface that wasn't just beautiful, but also functional in the challenging environments where our app is used most. Festivals and events can be visually overwhelming, with bright sunlight one moment and darkness the next.
Enter glassmorphism—a modern design approach that creates the illusion of frosted glass, allowing UI elements to blend harmoniously with whatever is behind them while maintaining perfect readability. This translucent, layered aesthetic doesn't just look stunning—it serves a practical purpose by maintaining context and spatial awareness.

FindTribe adapts to your device's system settings by default, but gives you full control to choose your preferred theme via the settings page—ensuring the best visual experience for your specific needs.

Maps are at the heart of FindTribe's functionality, so we've completely reimagined how they look and work. FindTribe 2.0 introduces four distinct map styles, each designed for specific scenarios and personal preferences:
Light Mode

Dark Mode

Each map style maintains our new glassmorphism UI elements, with controls and information panels floating elegantly above the map surface. You can switch between styles with a simple gesture, allowing you to adapt to changing conditions throughout your event experience.

Beautiful design should be accessible to everyone. Throughout the redesign process, we've worked closely with accessibility experts to ensure FindTribe 2.0 works for all users, regardless of their visual abilities or preferences.
Our glassmorphism implementation maintains WCAG 2.1 AA compliance for contrast ratios, and we've added options to adjust transparency levels, increase contrast, and even disable certain visual effects entirely for users who prefer simpler interfaces.
